Khammam: The district president of the Telangana Jena Samiti (TJS) Dr. Sheelam Papa Rao on Thursday appealed the people to put an end to the TRS government which is deceiving the people with hollow promises and suppressing the voice of opposition by adopting anti-people policies in the State.

As part of the call given by the TJS State president Prof. Kodandaram, the leaders of the TJS took out a massive rally with autos and motor bikes from Pavilion Grounds to Dharna Chowk via Wyra Road, Mayuri Centre and Ambedkar Statue after paying tributes to the Telangana martyrs at Amaraveerula Stupam in Khammam.

Speaking on the occasion S Papa Rao alleged that the TRS party and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during 2014 Assembly elections made false promises to the people but they could not fulfill them. Afraid of the fact that the opposition parties are getting stronger day by day in the State, he dissolved the Assembly.

Mentioning that as many as 36 lakh names are missing in the voters’ list that was issued recently across the State, he said it exposes the intentions of the government to win elections anyhow. The TRS government issued the orders to concern officials to make necessary changes and enroll the names of the persons whose name is missing in the voters list within four weeks of time that is only to deceive the people, he said.

Ruling undemocratically and by threatening the officials using police power, the TRS party is trying to come into power once again to deceive the people with hollow promises. By dissolving the present caretaker TRS government, President’s rule must be imposed in the State, he demanded.

The people are well aware of the ongoing situation in the State and are ready to teach a fitting lesson to TRS party in the upcoming elections, he added.
