Muharram, symbol of mourning, sacrifices

Malkajgiri: Senior TRS leader Moti Saikumar observed here on Friday that Muharram was not a festival but a symbol of mourning and sacrifices.

Addressing the gathering at Kacharbanda, where ‘Peerlu’ were erected to mark the day, Saikumar stated that he had been inspired since childhood after visiting them. He said the party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao should continue as CM if the State has to be improved. On the occasion, the TRS leader honoured representatives of various castes.
