Khammam: CPM district secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao Monday exhorted the party cadre and leaders to work hard for the success of the CPM and BLF candidates in the ensuing Assembly elections.

A district level meeting of the representatives of the CPM party under the leadership of Battula Lening here at Sundarayya Bhavan in Khammam. Addressing the meeting, N Nageswara Rao said the leaders who always fought on various issues pertaining to podu land and tenant farmers, women, agriculture sector, youth and students are selected as candidates on the behalf of CPM and BLF. If these candidates win they will become the voice of the people in the Assembly and will strive for solving their issues.

Recalling the promises made by the TRS during the 2014 Assembly elections, he said Instead of fulfilling the promises, the ruling party adopted the anti-peoples’ policies and tried to suppress the Opposition leaders who questioned the government. Adding that the TRS has a tacit understanding with the BJP, he said that voting for the party akin to voting for saffron party.

Nageswar Rao also criticized the Congress party and said that the ruled the united Andhra Pradesh for several years but did nothing for the people of the region. Therefore, there is no benefit if the TRS or Congress party comes to power, he alleged.

The people must understand this and vote for CPM and BLF candidates for the all round development of weaker sections and to achieve social justice, he appealed.

The CPM party leaders Y Srikanth, M Bharati, B Ramesh, Y Vikram, B Malsur, B Rambabu, N Manohar, Ch Koteswara Rao, M Sathyanarayana, S Prasad, T Nagaraju, D Krishna, Y Srinivas Rao, T Lingaiah and M A Jabbar and others were present on the occasion.
