According to sources, the differences among the party leaders in district was said to be the reason for putting off the public meeting. Sources said that the intelligence department has informed that there was more dissatisfaction in the party over candidates’ selection, and the leadership has failed to bring the things under control. The party has decided to postpone the meeting in order to overcome the embarrassment of facing the wrath of dissidents during the public meetings, said a senior leader.

Sources said that the Chief Minister was said to be unhappy with the district leaders as they could not counter the allegations of Konda Surekha on the party. Instead of countering the allegations, the leaders have been involving in campaigning against the candidates announced by the party.

The leaders in Station Ghanpur demanded change of candidate and wanted the ticket to be given to Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari. The Deputy Chief Minister was summoned to Pragathi Bhavan and was clearly told that there was no scope for change of candidate and T Rajaiah would be the party’s man as announced by the Chief Minister.
