​Hyderabad: BJP national official spokesperson and MP GVL Narasimha Rao demanded the caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to tender an apology to people of Telangana for failing to deliver on his party's electoral promises. He added that Congress party had supported the separate Telangana as part of its political designs Addressing media here on Thursday, he said people of Telangana had voted the TRS to power as it was formed for the cause of separate Statehood and promised golden Telangana. But, in the last four years, the TRS government has failed to deliver on its promises like making Dalit a chief minister, double bedroom housing and distribution of three acres of land to the SCs.

“Dashing the hopes of people, the TRS government has only benefited KCR and his family members. Besides, the TRS government has been competing with TDP government in Andhra Pradesh in corruption,” he said. Accusing the Telugu Desam of encouraging rampant corruption in AP, the BJP national leader said that it was only the family members of the ruling parties was getting benefitted in both the Telugu States instead of people. But, unlike the Congress and TRS, the BJP has been consistent on the issue of separate statehood cause and providing a corruption-free government with development as agenda.

Terming that both the TRS and Congress are the main opponents for the party in the ensuing Assembly elections, Rao added that the Mahakutami of should be renamed as Telangana Drohula Kutami (Alliance of Cheaters). Responding to a question on the party's announcement to provide House Rent Financial Assistance Scheme (HRFAS), he said that party has its own mathematics. “We will make only those electoral promises which we can deliver,” he said adding that party election manifesto will have all the necessary information on how the party wanted to implement its electoral promises.
