Hyderabad: Khairatabad Assembly constituency in the heart of Hyderabad city has always been a fortress of the Congress party and Dr Singireddy Rohin Reddy is exuding confidence of making the national party proud.

Dr Rohin Reddy, who is a strong contender for Congress ticket from Khairatabad, has been associated with the party from NSUI days. He has been an active member of the State Congress party for the last few years. Besides mingling with people regularly and addressing their issues and problems as a politician, he takes time off to participate in social service activities, including helping orphans and organizing blood donation camps

Rohin Reddy vied for Congress ticket in 2014 elections but missed by a whisker with former Minister Danam Nagender deciding to contest from the constituency. With talk in State Congress that winning horses would be preferred in finalisation of candidates this time, Dr Rohin Reddy camp is confident of party fielding him this time.

Dr Rohin Reddy, who has a dental degree from Karnataka university, has been an active leader right from his graduation days. He said that he would leave no stone unturned to ensure Congress win in Khairtabad if given party ticket. Dr Reddy said that there was no dissidence or rebel factions within Congress in Khairatabad and everyone would strive together for the party victory. Our immediate aim is to ensure that Congress secures power in Telangana and next focus on making Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime Minister of the country, he said.

Dr Rohin Reddy and his supporters and party activists held door-to-door padayatra in Khairatabad constituency on Saturday seeking support of voters. AICC observer Bose Raju, senior leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav also took part in the campaign.
