Nodal officers’ meeting held

Sangareddy: District Collector M Hanmantha Rao held a meeting with election nodal officers here at mini conference hall at the district collectorate on Sunday. Addressing nodal officers of the district, he advised them to perform their election duties with the full understanding of code of conduct. The respective nodal officer in MCC and expenditure monitoring nodal officers have to play a key role in conduct of elections, he said.

The Collector instructed officers to organise a PWD polling centre at district headquarters and five women polling stations, one each in five constituencies of the district. He asked the authorities to ensure that toilets are in working condition at polling booths. He ordered CPO to start a district level control room and appoint the staff, who will receive complaints related to violation of code of conduct and other election related complaints, to work in the control room for three shifts. He advised the officers to work in coordinated manner to ensure peaceful conduct of elections. Joint collector Nikhila, DRO Venkateshwarulu and nodal officers participated in the meeting.
