Ticket hopefuls edgy as TRS takes lead

Mahbubnagar: With the Election Commission of India has already rolled out the election schedule, the leaders of the Mhakutami are worried as their parties are yet to resolve the seat sharing problems in Mahbubnagar district.
Mainly probable contestants from Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI, the Grand Alliance partners, are concerned that whether their names will be announced in the contestants list or not and they are confused whether they should go for the election campaigning or not.
On the other hand, the TRS party, which has already announced the names of all the sitting MLAs to contest for the second time, the TRS nominees are in full swing and have embarked on a high voltage election campaigning giving no chance to the Opposition.
Especially, the leaders of the Grand Alliance are of the opinion that the delay in announcement of candidates will have a negative impact, because it does not give the candidate enough time to prepare himself to go for a full throttle election campaigning.
“The main objective of formation of the Grand Alliance is to dethrone the dictatorial and autocratic government of KCR. We have kept all our differences apart and working together with a single goal to see the TRS loses the next elections.
Definitely there are problems in the seat sharing aspect, but I am sure all these issues will be resolved in the next 2-3 days and the Grand Alliance will announce its candidates and go on a full scale election campaigning,” said Paramesh Goud, CPI district secretary.
But the probable candidates are worried as to who will be given which constituency to contest. Reliable sources from the Congress has said that all the parties--Congress, TDP and TJS are fighting within for getting the Mahbubnagar seat and if this problems is resolved, the leaders of the Grand Alliance are expected to release the list of their contestants.
“In some places there is a tough competition, while in some there is no competition. At places where there is a tough fight to contest their candidates, the Congress party is already conducting private survey and based on the survey report they will decided on who should be given ticket and who should not.
Once the Mahbubnagar seat is decided, all other problems are expected to be resolved soon,” said a Congress party leader who does not want to be named.
With the seat sharing problems prolonging, some leaders are of the opinion this delay will impact on the election campaigning and with TRS leaders moving far ahead in their campaigning.
