Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State unit is keen on adopting Andhra Pradesh government’s flagship schemes in its election manifesto for Telangana. The committee headed by Devendar Goud is busy studying the party’s 2014 election manifesto which helped the TDP romp to victory in Andhra Pradesh.

The CM Yuva Nestam, welfare schemes for the BC, SC, ST and minority communities and smart village development are among the schemes under consideration. The party leaders said that the manifesto committee is analysing every flagship scheme being implemented by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh.

The monthly allowances to unemployed youth, waiver of farmers loans, housing scheme for poor, providing jobs to youth in private sector through skill development programmes and notifications for government jobs every year. The AP government had been issuing notifications to fill the vacancies every year by creating a strong mechanism in Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. Similar mechanism is required in Telangana to fill the vacancies every year, they felt.

The Yuva Nestam scheme benefiting unemployed youth by offering monthly allowances is a big hit in the State. Though the scheme was launched last year-2018 of the TDP’s five year term, leaders said that such kind of programmes will help allure the Telangana youth who are on agitation path against the TRS government for its failure in fulfilling the promise of creation of one lakh jobs in the government sector alone.

Opening of NTR Anna Canteens in every assembly constituency head quarter, strict implementation of fee reimbursement scheme, extension of financial assistances under self-employment schemes to BC, SC, ST and minority communities and strengthening of the public distribution system ensuring the supply of essential commodities to all beneficiaries through online system every month will be included in the manifesto, a senior leader said that the draft manifesto of the party will be submitted to Naidu in a week to get final nod before intensifying the poll campaign.
