Parties warned over voter inducements

District Collector Dharma Reddy warned political parties not to induce voters with money or liquor. A case will be registered against those engage in such activities under Section 1, he said. e was speaking at a meeting with the representatives of recognised political parties here at collector’s office on Monday.

The Collector said that prior permission should be taken to hold rallies, public meetings and meetings. Reddy said that drone cameras should not be used during election campaigns. He asked officials to strictly adhere to election commission rules and regulations and necessary action will be taken against erring officials. Superintendent of Police Chandan Deepthi, RDO Veera Brahmachari, DCO Venkat Reddy, DP R Reddy, leaders of political parties and others participated in the meeting.
