Shadnagar: Rights activists and leaders of People’s Association along with students’ organziaitons and farmers in large numbers took out a huge rally from Chowdarguda mandal to Shadnagar mandal to impress upon the government to fulfil the promises.

They also urged the people of Telangana to question the leaders and the political parties about their promises and said until the past promises are fulfilled, they said, people must not vote to the TRS party.

Later, the leaders staged a protest in front of the RDO office and tried to create awareness among the public about the TRS government’s failures and unfulfilled promises of construction of projects. The leaders of people’s association urged the people to question the leaders about their unfulfilled promises.

Tirumalaiah, General Secretary of People’s rights Organization for erstwhile Mahabubnagar took criticised Chief Minister KCR for failing to fulfil his promise of construction of Laxmi Devipally Lift Irrigation project, which would provide drinking and irrigation water needs of Shadnagar.

“TRS chief KCR has promised to construct the Laxmi Devi Pally project by sitting at the project site during his 2014 election speech. However, what has this TRS party and his chief has done during the past 4 years for Shandnagar is nothing.

Till date, there is no DPR and they have not even called for the tenders for the construction of the project. Therefore I urge the people not to believe the promises of the leaders blindly. People must become more pro-active and question the leaders whoever comes to asking votes,” said Tirumalaiah.

Other leaders Palamuru Adhyayanavedika district convenor Raghavachari, JAC leader T.G. Srinivas, Arjunappa, Janardhan, Krishna Praveen, Balaram Suman, Srinu Nayak, Jangaiah, Siddhartha, Tuppudu Narasaiah, Ramachander and other artists took part in the rally.

They all urged the people to become more aware of the deceiving tactics of parties and their leaders. They said the growing number of industries and pollution emanating factories have become the major cause of releasing poisonous gases and liquid pollutants into the ground water and causing great damage to not only the nature but also creating dangerous health hazard to the public.

They said the TRS party has failed to build adequate number of projects in south Telangana and said if projects are build, then there will be no migration and the lives of farmers will be improved and the menace of farmers succeeded will be decreased.
