Hyderabad: Caretaker Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday said if the Mahakutami is elected the farmers would have to face water problems and the projects would get stopped.

Addressing an election rally in Ibrahimpatnam, Rama Rao said that Mahakutami was under the influence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. If Mahakutami comes to power, the problems for farmers would start and the irrigation projects would be stopped.

Rama Rao said that while the TRS has only one chief ministerial candidate, the Mahakutami has 60 candidates eager to hold the post of Chief Minister. “If Mahakutami comes to power, there will be one Chief Minister every month. Even for a small post, the Congress leaders will have to go to Delhi for approval. You have to decide whether you want sealed cover Chief Minister or a Chief Minister like a lion,” said Rama Rao.

He also mocked the prolonged discussion in the Mahakutami over seat sharing. “Till now the Mahakutami has not declared their Chief Minister and by the time they come to an understanding on seats, we will be sharing sweets,” said Rao.

The Minister said that government would plan for biggest Pharma city in the world at Ibrahimpatnam. He asked the people not to believe the rumours of Congress leaders and suggested them not to sell their lands as they would get more rates in the future after Pharma city comes. He alleged that the Congress had never implemented the promises made during the last 60 years.
