​Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, while delivering the inaugural address at the convention, said that though the country had got Swaraj (independence), the aspirations of people to have a Suraj (Good Governance) are not yet fulfilled. Because the parties ruled after independence have kept their political interests above the national interest.

But, the BJP has been relentlessly pursuing its political philosophy and ideology to keep the interest of the country on top, he added. It was against this backdrop that the people had given a full mandate to the BJP. That apart, they helped BJP to form governments in 15 states.

And, the demographic dividend, being the ‘youngest country’ in the world, India's growth story could be stained only when the younger generation is made stakeholders in it. Keeping this in mind, the Modi government has been rolling out several schemes to encourage youth, he said.

However, the Opposition has been coming together to form a grand alliance along with the Congress with the sole agenda to stop Modi. But, no one can save the Congress and those parties going along with it would be on the losing spree. The Left, which has the longest association with the Congress, has now not able to be seen as people are showing doors to it in one after another state, he said.
