​Hyderabad: A survey, conducted by the All India Congress Committee in the State on the state of affairs, has revealed shocking facts and shown that Telugu Desam Party is enjoying strong support in some constituencies.
Contrary to the claims by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrashekara Rao that Telugu Desam party had lost its popularity in the State, its vote share has gone down to 0.4 per cent, the survey suggested that the Telugu Desam Party is a force to be reckoned with.
The survey was conducted on behalf of AICC president Rahul Gandhi. It focused on the popularity of the Congress and the Telugu Desam party in the State and it revealed shocking facts.
The survey showed that it is a cakewalk for the Opposition in in 35 constituencies and candidates either from Telugu Desam Party or Congress would win them without much effort.
The TDP is strong in 35 constituencies, and its voting strength remains intact though the legislators won on the ticket of cycle symbol switched to TRS. The survey revealed that the TRS has been facing strong opposition in them.
The Congress leaders have handed over the list of the constituencies where the Telugu Desam is strong to AICC president Rahul Gandhi. The AICC president immediately summoned the TPCC leaders to discuss the details of the survey.
It has been felt by the AICC that they have to make efforts to win 25 seats in addition to the 35 seats where there is strong anti- incumbency factor, so that majority can be secured.
According to the survey, the Telugu Desam Party is strong in Devarakadra, Makthal, Wanaprthi, Jadcherla, Shadnagar, Patancheru, Zaheerabad, Nizamabad Rural, Bodhan, Armur, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Khanapur, Jagityal, Peddapalli, Narsmpet, Mulugu, Warangal East, Bhupalapalli, Khammam, Kothagudem, Sattupalli, Miryalaguda, Huzurnagar, Tungaturthi, Alair, Uppal, LB Nagar, Rajendranagar, Serilingampalli, Kuckatpalli, Qutbuallapur, Mushirabad, Sanathnagar, Khairatabad, and Jubilee Hills.
