Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which is aiming to come to power for the second time in Telangana, is in the process of making one-minute duration videos to woo its voters.

The videos, to be extensively circulated on social media platforms, will include artistes describing the scheme and beneficiaries sharing their experiences and also appealing the voters to vote for the pink party.

A senior TRS leader said that the TRS government had brought over 400 schemes touching the lives of every section of the society. “There are pensions for old-aged and handicapped, Kalyana Lakshmi for girls, KCR kit for new mothers, hike in salaries for outsourcing and contract employees, Rythu Bandhu for farmers, Kanti Velugu for general public and many others, which are good enough to get votes,” said the TRS leader.

Stating that there are at least 1.5 crore beneficiaries of various government schemes, he said, “On an average, there are 58,000 beneficiaries in each Assembly constituency and people have good opinion about the TRS.

They will definitely share their experiences and others to vote for us.” The videos are being prepared and it would take some time as the opposition parties are yet to announce candidates and also the manifesto, he informed.

Meanwhile, the party wants to extensively make use of social media to reach out to maximum number of people. Apart from this, the party is also getting ready with songs. Sources said that the TRS chief has finalised a list of 12 songs, which has two songs written by the party president himself. Chief Minister has earlier penned lyrics for a song in a Telugu movie “Jai Bolo Telangana”. The song “Garadi Chestunru... Gadbidi Chestunru” had become popular during the Telangana agitation.

Further, the campaign is likely to pick up pace in the first week of November with the TRS president starting his public meetings, and the social media team getting ready with their small duration videos. The songs and information on the government schemes are planned to be displayed on LED screens in villages, said the TRS leader.
