Ignore EBCs at own peril, political parties told

Basheerbagh: Political parties which ignore welfare of economically backward category people would be taught a lesson in the forthcoming elections, warned national president of EBC Welfare Association Ravinder Reddy at a press conference held at Basheerbagh Press club on Thursday.

Quoting Article 16 of the Indian Constitution, he said that it was the responsibility of the government to provide equal opportunities to all communities. He demanded reservations in education, employment and in economical, social and political fields for forward caste people who were economically backward. He said that the issue would be discussed with AICC president Rahul Gandhi.
