Khammam: Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has been striving hard for the all round development of Khammam district right from the time of his entry into politics.
Being with the people, solving their issues, the TRS candidate from Palair constituency, Tummala has left a remarkable mark in district and in the Palair constituency and is ready to serve the people with the same spirit, enthusiasm and energy under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Releasing the progress report here on Friday, Tummala said that he took initiatives for the prestigious Sitharama Lift Irrigation project which was launched by CM KCR with an investment of Rs 1,307 crore for supplying irrigation water to 10 lakh acres of land. In addition, completed Bhaktaramadasu project in record time of just 11 months for supplying pure drinking water to the people of Palair, Thirumalayapalem, Kusumanchi, Maripeda and Khammam rural mandals.
He said that under his leadership, Palair constituency witnessed all round development. H e made efforts for the renovation of SRSP and NSP canals at the cost of Rs100 crore in Palair constituency and also renovated the Palair old canal at a cost of Rs 70 crore and restored the around 182 water tanks under Mission Kakatiya project.
The works for supplying pure drinking water to every household under Mission Bhagiratha and also 24 hours uninterrupted power for agriculture sector are underway.
Laying of CC roads and interlinking of roads in all villages besides widening of roads and distribution of around 600 double bedroom houses out of 2,400 sanctioned for the constituency are some of the developmental works which were done just four and half years of his tenure as a Minister and MLA of Palair constituency, he added.
Construction of new hospital with 30 beds at a cost of Rs 5 crore in Thirumalayapalem mandal, modernisation of eight primary health centres at a cost of Rs 7.4 crore and distribution of 1,729 KCR Kits to the beneficiaries and conducting eye screening tests to around 40,333 members and distribution of Rythu Bandh cheques to about 66,646 farmers in the constituency were done till date, he pointed out.
Many welfare schemes such as Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, Sheep and Buffaloes rearing schemes were successfully implemented in the constituency along with construction of community buildings and Shaadikhana’s.
He appealed to the people to cast their votes to him and the TRS candidates seeing the enormous development that took place and for completion of the pending developmental works and bless TRS party for the second time for achieving Bangaru Telangana.
