Hyderabad: Telangana Congress treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy on Saturday said that caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao would meet the same fate as of former dictator of Iraq Saddam Hussain and his son Uday.

Addressing a press conference, Narayana Reddy said just like K T Rama Rao who is claiming that KCR cannot be defeated, Uday used to claim that his father Saddam Hussain was invincible. Since people reject all dictatorial regimes one day, Chandrashekar Rao’s rule would face ultimate rejection on December 7, he said.

Narayana Reddy said that the TRS leaders have turned restless ever since Congress and TDP joined hands to end the dictatorial rule of Chandrashekar Rao family in Telangana State.

He said the fear of a humiliating defeat has increased the frustration of K T Rama Rao to the limit that he started talking in an insane manner about the grand alliance. He said the behaviour of TRS leaders, especially Rama Rao, was a clear indication that the Congress-led alliance was all set to form the next government.

Condemning Rama Rao’s criticism on Congress party's alliance with the TDP, he asked whether or not TRS allied with the Congress party in 2004 and with TDP in 2009 elections. He asked if TRS alliance with TDP in 2009 was justified, then what makes TDP an anti-Telangana party in 2018.

Ridiculing the hype being created by KTR over receiving the invite from the World Economic Forum (WEF), Gudur Narayana Reddy pointed out that the WEF was not a government body but just a private organisation which sells its invites for a cost.

Meanwhile, in an informal chat, the Congress leader shared the findings of a latest survey which claimed that the grand alliance would get 49 per cent vote share in next elections with TRS lagging behind with just 31 per cent. He also informed that the list of candidates for all 119 seats would be announced by the grand alliance on November 9.

He said Congress leaders who are being denied ticket to accommodate the other allies would be given prominence in nominated posts in the next government.
