The State Level Event of 26th National Childrens Science Congress NCSC 2018 organized by Telangana State Council of Science Technology TSCOST concluded here today at Abhyudaya High School, Pipparwada Village, Jainath Mandal, Adilabad District
Adilabad: The State Level Event of 26th National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) -2018 organized by Telangana State Council of Science & Technology (TSCOST) concluded here today at Abhyudaya High School, Pipparwada Village, Jainath Mandal, Adilabad District.
Presiding over the State Level function, Prof Ravi Kumar Puli, Member Secretary, TSCOST informed that a total of 153 projects were presented by the Child Scientists at the State Level Event, 13 projects were selected (list enclosed) for National Level Event of 26th NCSC – 2018. The Government of India and the State Government have taken an initiative, in the form of NCSC, for bringing out the innate skills and talents of students in order to develop scientific temper and outlook, he said. He also thanked Smt. D. Divya, Collector, Adilabad District and Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) for extending financial support for the conduct of NCSC in Adilabad District and also Management of Abhyudaya School, Adilabad District for hosting the event.
D.Divya, District Collector, Adilabad said that programs such as NCSC are essential to learn Science with fun and commitment and for a purpose. This way, students undergo thrilling experiences in their life with the involvement of Science. She advised the students to explore Science for better living and make things affordable. She touched upon local issues like wild boar menace in farms for which solutions can be though off with the help of Science & Technology. She also suggested the students to pursue their goals without any deterrence.
Dr Geetha Swaminathan, National Academic Committee Member & Govt. of India Observer, NCSC, from Chennai observed that the State Level Event in Telangana State congratulated the State Government and all the functionaries of the State for organizing the State Level Event of NCSC in a very smooth and fair manner. NCSC develops problem solving abilities among the students with scientific approach and these abilities will extend to their lives.
Prof A. Ramachandraiah, Professor in Chemistry & Board of Governors Member, National Institute of Technology, Warangal, through his key note address, inspired the child scientists to develop deep learning techniques with a view to imbibe comprehensive understanding of science subjects.
