​Hyderabad: TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to announce candidates for the remaining 12 Assembly seats on November 11 a day before Election Commission issues notification for the elections.
He has already announced names of the candidates for 107 Assembly seats, including 105 on September 6. According to sources, KCR is likely to address all the candidates and give them necessary instruction on how to take up campaign once the notification is announced.
The Election Commission will release notification on November 12 and the nomination process would also start from the same day. Before meeting the candidate, the TRS chief would meet the Manifesto Committee and finalise the manifesto. Sources said that the committee has already submitted the draft copy of the manifesto. The party has almost finalised the candidates for the remaining 12 constituencies.
The TRS president is slated to announce candidates either in a couple of days or on November 11. Sources said that former minister Danam Nagender’s name has been finalised for Khairatabad. However, there is more competition among the TRS leaders in this constituency. The leaders who are expecting ticket include party in charge Manne Goverdhan, P Vijaya Reddy and G Vijayalakshmi (both corporators).
In Musheerabad, the party is learnt to have decided to give ticket to Mutha Gopal. However, Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy is pitching for ticket to his son-in-law Srinivas Reddy, who is Ramnagar corporator. For Goshamahal, the party is zeroing in on former MLA Prem Singh Rathore. However, he is facing competition from Nandkishore Vyas Bilal (party in charge).
In Amberpet, the party wants to give ticket to K Venkatesh. However, former minister C Krishna Yadav and Y Sudhakar are expecting the ticket. In Charminar, the party is likely to give ticket to Dipankar Pal. The TRS candidate who contested last time from here Inayat Ali Baqri was shifted to Bahadurpura.
Sources said that the Malkajgiri constituency would be given to Mynampally Hanumanth Rao. Hanumanth Rao has already started campaigning in the constituency. The Medchal constituency is likely to be given to Malkajgiri MP Ch Malla Reddy.
In the districts, Warangal East is likely to be given to Warangal Mayor N Narender. This seat belonged to Konda Surekha, who had left the party. Former Minister B Saraiah, Women’s wing president G Sudharani is also expecting ticket from here. In Choppadandi S Ravi Shankar is slated to get the ticket.
Sitting MLA B Shobha is likely to be denied ticket. Both Shobha and Ravi Shankar have been campaigning in the constituency. The party is looking to field S Saidi Reddy from Huzurnagar, the constituency represented by TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Chander Rao from Kodada.
