Hyderabad: The national president, Morsing Bhai Rathod, of Bharatiya Bahujan Kranti Dal (BBKD), released election manifesto here on Thursday. Addressing a conference, Rathod said that, “In politics we cannot think of only one caste, hence, I have given the name of the party as Bahujan. Bahujan means communities belonging to SC, ST, OBC and Minorities. The members from these communities should be representing in Loksabha and Vidhansabhas according to their population in the country. To develop Bahujans is the main motto of our party.”

Rathod said in his manifesto that, about 12 crore and above population are of Banjara Community in India and have 7.60 crore voters. Even after so many years of independence there were only 5 Loksabha Members till the 2014 General Elections from the Banjara community having huge population in India. The reason is because there is no national political party working for Banjara Community. Hence, he was the first man from the community to register a national party working for the upliftment of the socio economical, educational and political life of Banjara community.

He also said that the party has also given a letter to prime minister of India for appointing fourth backward class National Commission for including the Banjara community in ST list in the remaining 14 states. Accordingly, they appointed fourth backward class commission under the letter of Tribal Affairs Ministry, New Delhi, and also called for the recommendation letter from the concerned states for including Banjara community in the ST list. There are so many demands of the party, mainly the recommendations made by Swaminathan Committee should be adopted by central as well as state governments and justice be given to all the farmers in the country.
