Hyderabad: Agitated over alleged diversion of Singur waters to other districts, Singur Jala Sadhana Samithi staged protest and raised slogans of “KCR Go Back” in Andole on Wednesday. CM KCR addressed public meeting in Andole on Wednesday. However, the Singur Jala Sadhana Samithi took up a bike rally from Alladurgam till Akola- Nanded National Highway and staged 'rasta roko' alleging illegal diversion of Singur water.
Singur Jala Sadhana Samithi K Brahmam said that the people of Andole have been demanding water to mandals like Alladurgam, Regod, Tekmal and Vatpally mandals from Singur through Lift Irrigation. The chief minister promised to provide water to four mandals in 2014, he said alleging Chandrashekar Rao, instead of providing water to these mandals, took away 15 tmc feet of water to other districts.
KCR lashed out at TPCC chief Uttam Kumar stating that the latter was a stupid. In a meeting in Zaheerabad, Rao said, “When the power point presentation was made in the Assembly, the Congress MLAs ran away and while discussion was taken up, the TPCC chief said his party came to the House without preparing.”
He also criticised the Congress leaders for saying that the State was under loan burden. “These stupids are alleging that loans have increased... there are 14 other states, which have more loans than Telangana. The State loans are under the permissible limits and these stupids don’t know this,” said Rao.
Chief Minister said that there should be non-Congress and non-BJP government at the Centre for the states to achieve their rights. He said that the government provided Rs 2,000 crore for the Muslim minorities. “We represented to the Centre about 30 times on Muslim reservations. They don’t do it and tell us that they will not do. Is India their ‘Jagir’,” asked Rao in Sangareddy public meeting. The chief minister said that MIM was the friendly party of TRS. Asaduddin would definitely win and TRS should get the remaining 16 seats, he said.
He asked whether the BJP-ruled states have pensions of Rs 1,000. The CM asked whether there was a need for Chandrababu Naidu to do politics in Telangana. “He (Naidu) is saying that he will come and attack us. Can we face the attack or counter attack him with votes,” asked Rao. KCR said that the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Beema schemes would continue till he is alive.
“The farmers should get rid of loans during the KCR’s tenure and there should be Rs 5 lakh in the accounts of every farmer within five to six years,” said Rao in the Jukkal public meeting. He said that Chandrababu, who claims to have put Hyderabad into world map, could not provide power to the State. Rao said that Prime Minister lied that there was no power in Nizamabad district. He said that there was 24-hour power in Telangana and there was no such facility in other states of the country.
The government was providing 24-hour free power to the farmers. He promised to provide two lifts for Bhanswada if elected again. The CM asked Modi whether any of the 19 states where the BJP is in power has schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi?
