Kosgi/Khammam: Congress party president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that the TRS government and the BJP-led government at the Centre would be defeated for their misrule. Terming the TRS as Telangana Rashtriya Sangh Pariwar and BJP’s B team, he said that if TRS was really committed to its agenda then it would not support the BJP-led government at the Centre. Addressing a huge public meeting at Kosgi in Vikarabad district, which falls under the constituency of PCC working president A Revanth Reddy, he said that the BJP governments in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan would also be defeated.

He promised that the next Congress-led People’s Front government in Telangana would accommodate all sections of the society and added that the Front government would strive to realise the dreams of Telangana people by taking them into confidence.

‘Neellu, Nidhulu and Niyamakalu’ were the objectives of Telangana movement and the Front government would give the money of the people back to them. United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi has supported the struggle for the separate State and played a key role in creating Telangana, he said.
Criticising Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for supporting the Narendra Modi government at the Centre, he said that Rao never criticised Modi for corruption in the Rafale deal. The TRS always supported the Modi government.

He said that the TRS supported all the Bills brought by the NDA government in the Parliament. When he asked the TRS MPs why they were supporting the Bills, they said that it was the diktat from their supremo.
Ridiculing Modi for stating for likening the Congress with TRS in his recent public meetings in the State, Rahul said that the Prime Minister did not criticise the TRS government in the past and now he has been accusing TRS at the time of election.

He said that TRS and MIM did not want Modi to go and they want to continue him as the Prime Minister. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been fomenting hatred among the people. The AICC president said that Telangana was a revenue surplus State at the time of its formation. But today, it is in huge debts of over Rs 2 lakh crore with each family having a debt of more than Rs 2.65 lakh.

“While every individual in Telangana is under debts, the income of KCR's son KT Rama Rao has increased by 400 per cent in the last four years,” he said. He alleged that TRS government has indulged in huge irregularities in the name of Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha. A burden of over Rs 40,000 crore was imposed on people by redesigning Kaleshwaram Project. Similarly, people's money was wasted in the name of painting old tanks. He said farmers and youth were cheated by Chandrashekar Rao’s regime.

“KCR had promised to fill 1 lakh vacancies. How many jobs have been given by KCR to youth? He gave jobs to four members of his family?” he said. Similarly, he said Women Self Help Groups did not get any assistance under the TRS rule. Rahul Gandhi said KCR had promised to give double bedroom houses to 22 lakh poor families, but delivered only about 5,000 houses. “We will give you land and houses. Our Chief Minister will work to give jobs to youth. An allowance of Rs 3,000 per month will be given to jobless youth and in the first year of formation of government,” he said.

The AICC president alleged that Chandrashekar Rao gave benefits of Telangana only to his family, friends and contractors. He said people were forced to spend lakhs of rupees on health and education. It costs thousands of rupees if one has to undergo MRI, x-ray or a surgery. “This is your money and not of contractors or KCR’s friends. This money will be returned to you by the Congress party. We will provide free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh for everyone. A 30-bedded hospital will be constructed in each mandal. Rs 5 lakh will be given for the construction of own house. The power which is lying in the hands of just one family now will be distributed to panchayats,” he announced.

Showing the fluttering Congress flags at the public meeting, he claimed that there was a wave in favour of Congress party and its allies and it would dislodge K Chandrashekar Rao from power. In his speech, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy expressed confidence that the Congress-led People's Front would win all 14 seats of erstwhile Mahbubnagar district. Advising people not to get misled by the propaganda of 'battebaz' (cheats) TRS, he said that the People’s Front was all set to come to power and its government would sworn in on December 12. He also highlighted the major promises made in the Congress party’s manifesto.

Addressing the meeting, Revanth Reddy said that the TRS government has filed about 39 cases on him and put him in the prison for 40 days. He vowed to fight against the TRS government till the end. In his address, People’s Front leader M Kodandaram said that the TRS government has been cheating people of Kodangal and Kosgi area. He said that though there was a possibility to give water through gravity from Jurala, the government was trying to give them from Srisailam.
