Mahbubnagar: Bahujan Samajwadi Party chief who visited Mahbubnagar district on Thursday addressed a huge public meeting at Boy’s Junior College grounds in the district and fired against both the Congress and BJP for their anti-Dalit and Muslim policies in the country.

She said that the BJP and Congress are two sides of the same coin and they did nothing for the Dalits and minorities since many years and using them as their vote bank.

She said that both have been secretly adopting suppressive policies against the depressed classes and handing over everything to the private sector to help the upper caste people to gain from it.

She said BSP had fought hard to get the Mandal Commission Report, however, when the VP Singh government tried to implement the Mandal Commission recommendations the BJP withdrew its support which clearly shows the party is against the Dalits and minorities.

Mayawati recalled that along with the SCs and STs, the Muslim community in the country is also facing various problems, injustice is meted to them in all aspects and because of which they are facing hardships in the country.

Adding further the BSP Chief said that all sections of people including farmers are in deep depression in Telangana. The main reason for this is that the successive government are following wrong policies because of which poverty is increasing in the country.

She noted that the petrol, diesel rates in the country have sky-rocketed, note ban by the central government broke the backs of the small traders due which the economic conditions of poor is degrading day by day.

She said providing unemployment allowance is not the solution to address the long-term problems of joblessness in the State and added that the governments must provide employment rather than giving promises to attract the votes of the youth.

She said BSP came to power four times in Uttar Pradesh and during her regime, she said, had created jobs for youth. Even in Telangana, if BSP candidates win and come to power, she said, would repeat the same in the State and create more jobs rather than giving false and temporary promises just to get votes.
