Hyderabad: TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao, who is busy with whirlwind election campaign covering length and breadth of the State for last few weeks, will be releasing party election manifesto at the public meeting to be held at Parade Grounds on Sunday. TRS leadership, however, was made to wait until Saturday afternoon when the Defence authorities in Secunderabad sent a communique according permission for TRS meeting at Parade Grounds.
KCR will be addressing four meetings, starting with Nagarkurnool, followed by meetings in Chevella and Patancheru before winding up the campaign for the day at Hyderabad meeting. Unlike the public meeting at Kongar Kolan when TRS leaders, activists and supporters from across the State descended in state capital outskirts, this meeting will be attended by TRS functionaries from GHMC limits.
The party is targeting to mobilise 10,000 crowd from various segments like Malkajgiri, Cantonment, Secunderabad, Sanathnagar, Medchal, Qutbullapur, Uppal, LB Nagar, Serilingampally, Maheshwaram and Kukatpally for the meeting. According to TRS sources, KCR will be focussing on manifesto points and his plans for Hyderabad in this meeting.
During his election meetings, the TRS chief was highlighting some of their priorities in the manifesto, including hiking pension amounts to different sections, monthly allowance to unemployed, increasing Rythu Bandhu amount to Rs 10,000 per acre per year among other schemes. He would be elaborating more on manifesto points and other key areas in this meeting. It may be noted that TRS was releasing its manifesto just a few days before the election day and that too after all rival parties released their manifestos.
Meanwhile, TRS chief is expected to react to Chandrababu Naidu's meetings to woo voters in a few segments of Hyderabad and his claims on developing the state capital during his tenure. Since Rao will not be individually campaigning in different constituencies in GHMC limits, he expected to use this meeting to outline party's focus and priorities in these segments if voted to power again.
On the other hand, TRS readied for a Plan B for the Sunday meeting in case defence authorities refused to give permission at Parade Grounds. Open area near Petbasheerabad that belongs to HMDA was also considered and the party decided to approach HMDA for permission on Saturday. However, it was not required with defence authorities giving their nod for Parade Grounds meeting.
