Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief K Chandrashekhar Rao, who has been sloganeering ‘Bangaru Telangana, has ended up making his family a ‘Bangaru Kutumbam’, said All-India Congress Committee president Rahul Gandhi. Addressing a series of public meetings as part of his campaign at Gadwal and Tandur, Rahul Gandhi said that TRS has become T-RSS (Telangana RSS). Tossing up another acronym for TRS chief he frequently uses, Rahul Gandhi said that people of Telangana say that KCR means not K Chandrasekhar Rao but ‘Khao Commissions Rao’.

The TRS has become B team of BJP and the MIM the C team of saffron party. Explaining the nexus between BJP and TRS, Rahul said that the BJP has the remote control of Telangana government and the Chief Minister in its hand. He said that the Chief Minister could not question Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the latter knows the corrupt activities of Chandrasekhar Rao. Rahul said that the demonetisation has hit the people hard. But Telangana Chief Minister has supported the decision.

The TRS has also supported the ‘Gabbar Singh Tax’ referring to Goods and Services Tax, which has damaged the business sector. He made it clear that the support of the TRS to the BJP for election of President and Vice-President stands as testimony to the relation between the Pink Party and the Saffron Party.

Rahul said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi never criticised Chandrasekhar Rao while he attacks him (Rahul) every day. He said that he and Congress would not go back in the fight with the BJP. Rahul said that he was mocked several times by the BJP and RSS. But he would continue to fight against them, the AICC president said.
He alleged that dreams of Telangana to have rights over Neeru, Nidhulu and Niyamakaalu have been shattered by KCR government. He said that sacrifices of the youngsters who offered their blood and sweat to attain statehood to Telangana have not been recognised.

Congress expected that Telangana would be a role model state by achieving good development. But the government failed to deliver on all counts, Rahul said. The unemployed, women and farmers were grossly neglected. The TRS government started to redesign the projects as soon as it came to power and enhanced the cost of construction of Kaleshwaram project from Rs 40,000 crore to Rs 90,000 crore.

Rahul Gandhi said that when the state was formed it had a surplus of Rs 17,000-crore budget. But now every citizen of the state has a debt burden of Rs 2.5 lakh. He said that wealth of KTR has risen by 400 per cent. The Chief Minister has been talking about taking rest in his farm house. The Chief Minister has Rs 300-crore worth bungalow to take rest. But the poor did not have even have a house or land to take rest.

The Chief Minister, who keeps claiming that Telangana people are innocent, has been exploiting them by making false promises. He promised to construct 22 lakh 2BHK houses but he did not even complete 5,000 houses. In the same way, he promised on providing three acres of land to Dalits but has not done so far.

TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the STs would be provided with reservations as per their percentage in the population. He said that Tandur would be merged with Charminar Zone. Telangana Jana Samiti president Kodandaram said that it was not possible to stop the pensions as alleged by the Chief Minister. He said that the Supreme Court has given clear orders in this regard. MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga said that the Front government would categorise the SC reservations and made it clear that he has been supporting the Front to defeat Modi and Chandrasekhara Rao.
