Warangal: The high-decibel election campaign for 12 Assembly constituencies in the erstwhile Warangal district marked by personal attacks, allegations and tall promises may have come to an end on Wednesday, but there won’t be any respite for the candidates in the fray as they still have to do a lot.

In fact, tonight they enter a crucial phase of poll management. It may be noted here that although there are 172 candidates in the fray, it appears that the main contest would be among the ruling TRS, Congress-led Praja Kutami (People’s Front) and the BJP.

With the big guns hitting the campaign trail in last one week, it’s now time for the candidates to see their respective cadres positioned in right places for the crucial poll management that invariably includes booth-level organisation and other influential factors to lure voters.

Notwithstanding the measures taken up by the Election Commission (EC), abuse of money remains a biggest challenge. It involves distribution of cash, liquor and freebies for gratification of the voters.

With just a couple of days to go for polling (December 7), the candidates of almost all the major parties already have their mechanism ready for distribution of money to voters. Normally, they distribute money to voters a day or two before the polling in a myriad way.
