Spouse behind victory of Koppula Mahesh

Parigi: Koppula Pratima Reddy played a key role in ensuring her husband Koppula Mahesh Reddy’s poll victory in the recent Assembly elections. She was successful in utilising almost three months time to garner votes in favour of him. When the opponents spread rumours saying that Mahesh Reddy don’t have hold on Parigi town, she refuted them and made herself busy in electioneering.

To avoid embarrassment, Pratima concentrated mainly on the Parigi town and allotted two months for that purpose. She conducted door-to-door campaign and explained about the development that took place in the town under TRS rule. She also intensively toured each and every village in the mandal and created awareness among the villagers. She appealed to them to vote for the development.

Pratima gathered ward-wise data in the villages where voters were in favour of the pink party. She enquired about the civic problems prevailing in those wards. She visited them and assured to the residents by saying that, it was her responsibility to solve the problems after her husband was voted to power. She took local women leaders into confidence and succeeded in turning them to voters for the TRS. Apart from Pratima, the family members Koppula Harishwar Reddy, Girija Devi, Anil Reddy and Archana Reddy also played a key role in getting a majority of 15,840 votes to Mahesh Reddy.
