Nalgonda: Vaishnavite temples in erstwhile Nalgonda district was chockablock with devotees on Tuesday in view of auspicious Mukkoti Ekadashi festival.

Several devotees from far- flung places thronged Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri and Patha Yadagirigutta for Vaikunta Dwara darshanam of the presiding dieties.

As the Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam was provided to the devotees early on Tuesday morning, many arrived at Yadagirigutta on Monday evening and stayed at the Sathrams and lodges near the hill shrine.

Devotees queued up at hill shrine and Patha Yadagirigutta to catch the glimpse of Lord Laxminarasimha Swamy. The flower decked Vaikunta Dwaram was opened for devotees amidst chant of Vedas by the priests at 6 am, Uttara Dwara Darshanam was provided till 9 am.

Many VIPs visited the Yadadri temple and took part in Puja programmes. The Vaishnavite temples in Nalgonda and Surayapet districts also witnessed huge rush. Yoga Narasimha Swamy temple in Mattapally, Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Suryapet , Sri Varijala Venugopala Swamy temple of Gopulaipally and Mastagiri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple were abuzz with activities since the wee hours on Tuesday.

Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Nalgonda and Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Vadapally also saw huge rush of devotees. Respective temple authorities made necessary arrangements for the convenience of devotees. Also, police made elaborative security arrangements to control the crowd and to avoid any untoward incidents at respective temples.
