Residents seek speed breakers for colony roads

Mohan Nagar: Speed breakers are essential to control the speed of the vehicles. But residents of Mohan Nagar are scared to cross the road with no speed breakers here. “There are no speed breakers anywhere in this route. It has become a problem for pedestrians to cross the road because vehicles move at a high speed. In addition to that, the roads are also in bad condition,” said Ashish Kumar, a regular commuter.

“People who want to avoid traffic in L B Nagar and to save time usually commute through this road. RTC buses also travel through this route. There are lots of pedestrians who use this road. Without speed breakers we are facing lot of problems,” said Srividya. “This is a shortcut to reach Nagole from Kothapet. So, a huge number of people use this road. Buses, autos, private vehicles go at a high speed, as there are no speed breakers it takes so much time for us to cross road and we are scared to send our children and senior citizens on the road, said Vani, a resident of Mohan Nagar.
