Liquor shops & bar timings extended

Secunderabad: Navaneeta, the Secunderabad Prohibition and Excise Inspector, has stated that the timings of bars and liquor shops would be extended by one hour on December 31 night for New Year celebrations.
Based on the instructions of higher officials, intense checking is being done at places where new year celebrations would be held, she said. Special arrangements are also made to prevent use of drugs and banned substances during the celebrations, she added. She urged organisers who intend to supply liquor during celebrations to take event permission license and adhere to all the rules.
The Excise Inspector warned organisers to ensure that drugs and banned substances are not used during the celebrations and necessary legal action would be taken in case of any violation. She warned owners of liquor shops, bars and clubs to follow time limits set for the New Year day celebrations. She asked people to contact phone no 9440902295 in case of any disturbance or undesired events. The shops which operate till 11pm every day can be kept open till 12 pm and similarly the shops which operate till 12 midnight every day can be kept open till 1 am.
