Showcasing talent on stage at Phoenix Arena

Manju Theatre staged a play titled ‘Oo Prema, Oo Donga’ at the recently concluded theatre festival Telugu Natakotsavam. The team consisted of engineering professionals and they have impressed the audience with their performance. Speaking about the play Narlapuram Rakesh Kumar, the director of the play shared, “The play is a comedy love story with a slight confusion of a thief entering into the love life of a couple.” “The story starts off with the boyfriend finding out that it was her girlfriend’s birthday the next day for which he takes money from one of his friends. On her birthday at 12 am when the boyfriend surprises his girlfriend at her place there is a comic twist with the thief entering the house and creating confusion among people in the house,” he added.

Mentioning about the overall theatre acts done by Manju Theatre, the founder of the group says, “We have done 15 plays till date and we are also recognised by Government of Telangana. We have showcased our plays at Phoenix Arena and Lamakaan. Our theatre group is about seven years old.” All in the team are working professionals and they take time out from their hectic schedules to pursue their passion. “We all are very passionate towards acting and so we have formed a group to perform plays. It makes us feel happy when we perform on the stage. We practice after our work hours and sometimes skip our lunch time to focus on our practice.”
