Hyderabad: City residents are worrying over foul smell from carcass of the animals as there is no facility for cremation. Socialists and dog lovers are demanding the authorities to make facilities to cremate the animals in scientific manner.

GHMC has decided to set up three cemeteries as part of it, the officials concerned inspected working style of electric cemeteries in several cities.

It is learned that a few agencies approached GHMC over setting up of gas based or black hole technology cemetery.

It is also learned that an agency also approached the GHMC for setting up of cemeteries by using plasma technology.

GHMC Executive Engineer (Projects) PV Krishna Rao said that magnetic power will be used in black hole technology.

GHMC has invited request for qualification (RFQ) to establish the cemeteries (to perform final rites to 10 tonnes of carcass) at three places (Jawahar Nagar, Gajula Ramaram and Fathullaguda) at an estimated cost of Rs 3.82 crore.

The cemeteries should be in accordance with Pollution Control Board and ash will be examined in lab.

According to reports, a total of 20 ox, cow and bulls are dying every day and as many as 9 tonnes of carcass has been transported.
