Tandur: Kadaknath Poultry farming is yielding good profits for owners as demand for it has increased significantly. Nawab, who belongs to Gajipur village, is one among them.

Speaking to The Hans India, Nawab informed that he learnt about the farming from his relatives. He is farming 250 chickens in a shed. On the Kadaknath, he said that there are three kinds of breeds available in market namely black, pencil and golden.

The meat is used for curing of pulmonary problems such as tuberculosis, asthma and heart diseases. Eggs are used to treat headache, nephritis and post-delivery problems.

The life span of Kadaknath is eight years and the cost of each egg is Rs 50. Nawab added that he has invested Rs 2,50,000 in the business and is planning to expand it, if the government provides financial assistance.
