Tributes paid to Bapuji

Serilingampally: Rich tributes were paid to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 71st death anniversary at Serlingampally division ward office on Wednesday. Local Corporator Ragam Nagender Yadav, along with local leaders, paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait and remembered his services to the nation on the occasion.

The corporator said that Gandhiji emerged victorious in freedom struggle using peace and non-violence as his weapons. Several freedom fighters have laid their lives, but Gandhi was in forefront of the freedom struggle and ensured freedom to nation using non-violent methods, he said. It is unfortunate that the person who efficiently used non-violent methods was killed.
