Hyderabad: Lil Manhattan, a mini fashion town, was attended by more than 1,000 people on Saturday in Hyderabad. The day-long event comprised more than 35 stalls exclusively for children. Stalls for shopping, painting, playing, and eatables like candies and ice creams were set.Chandini and Vaishnavi, college friends-turned business partners, launched their debut event exclusively for children. Vaishnavi said, “I always wanted to organise an event exclusively for children as I always notice the lack of such events giving complete entertainment and joy to children.”

Their venture Lil Manhattan with a jungle theme and kids pop-up is all about going a lIi'I wild. It was all about kid-friendly atmosphere at the pop-up for children to play, shop, eat and have a great time. When asked about why they ventured into events space particularly for children, Chandini, said, “the kids fashion space has a lot of scope and hosting an event seems like a wonderful opportunity to make a wide variety of products accessible to the Hyderabad market.”
The next session would be all about clothes, footwear, accessories, games, toys, food and more offerings designed only for children, she added.

A shopping stall was set up for traditional Indian dresses with a western blend called Kanya. Its owner Deepa said, “I always try that my outfits are loved and acknowledged by trendy girls.”The name art designs by Apoorna had customised frames and books. Vintage shakes and creams witnessed a huge crowd.

The event was not just about clothes, games and food but also offered customised gift vouchers for children, event organising stalls, a handmade stall for photo frames and organic clothes for children specially infants. Himanshu who came to shop for his pregnant wife told, “I am glad to be here as I got all I wanted under one roof for my wife and child.”
