Cops intensify investigation into Rakesh Reddy’s previous criminal records

​Hyderabad: As Rakesh Reddy confessed that he had murdered Industrialist Jayaram to settle the financial dispute of Rs 4.5 crore with him, police intensified their investigation in his previous criminal record. During their investigation police found shocking facts about the accused criminal record.

According to Police, the accused was addicted to lavish lifestyle and started maintaining high profile, financing politicians and film industry fraternity. He took an independent villa on rent for Rs 2 to Rs 3 lakh in Jubilee Hills road number 10 and started doing settlements.

He made settlements, threatening and cheating people as his everyday business and started earning money and spending it lavishly. Earlier he was arrested and remanded in an actress prostitution case in a hi-tech hotel. He also conducted hi-tech prostitution with junior artists and was arrested several times.

The accused earlier was arrested in Kukatpally since he threatened some people and settled the issues by saying the name of Kukatpally MLA and collected Rs 80 lakh from the opposite party. He also cheated many people by using the names of the MLAs and collected huge amounts from them by saying he will provide them MLA seats from different parties to contest in the recently held assembly elections in Telangana. By keeping the past criminal record of the accused the police are extensively investigating his offences.

On the other hand, reacting on the developments, Rakesh Reddy’s father urged the police to conduct thorough investigation in the murder case of Jayaram. He alleged that with conspiracy some persons made his son scapegoat and intentionally framed him as an accused in the case. He said his son did not have any bad vices and alleged that after meeting Shikha Chowdhary he changed a lot for Shikha’s vested interests and financial requirements.
