Potlapalli Rajanna temple is famous Shiva shrine: Harish Rao

Karimnagar: Sri Swayambhu Rajeshwara Swamy temple, which is usually called as Potlapalli Rajanna temple, is one of the famous temples in the erstwhile Karimnagar district after Vemulawada Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple, said TRS leader T Harish Rao.

On the day of Maha Shivaratri, Harish Rao along with Husnabad MLA V Satish Kumar offered prayers at Sri Swayambhu Rajeshwara Swamy temple at Potlapalli of Husnabad mandal.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said that this is one of the historical temples of Kakatiya era. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is determined to give a facelift to many temples that have been neglected in the united Andhra Pradesh by the then governments.

This temple is located between Vemulawada and Kottakonda Veerabhadra Swamy temple and famous as Potlapalli Rajanna temple. The construction works of a check dam over the stream present in the temple is going on by investing crores of rupees. In the coming days, Potlapalli Rajanna temple will be made as a tourist hub, he stated.

Harish said that with the blessings of Lord Shiva, all the welfare schemes that were introduced by the government must reach the beneficiaries. He appreciated the officials and temple authorities for making elaborate arrangements for the devotees on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.
