Nalgonda: In a tragic incident, Bhoodan Pochampally SI Madhusudan, 35, suffered critical injuries in a road accident that took place near Mahatma Gandhi University at Yellareddygudem village of Narketpally mandal in the district, after the vehicle in which he was traveling lost control and turned turtle on Tuesday early hours.
Locals and motorists who saw the accident shifted the injured SI to Kamineni Hospital in Narketpally, where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment. It is learnt that at the time of the accident, the SI was behind the wheel and was heading towards Nalgonda to discharge his duties at the ongoing SI and police recruitment events.
Family members of the deceased SI alleged that he was suffering from fever for the last four days and officials denied leave to him. After receiving the information, Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh Bhagwat rushed to the Kamineni hospital and paid tributes to the deceased SI. He expressed his deep condolence to the bereaved family members and handed over a cheque for Rs 20,000 for the funeral expenses.
Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah and Former Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy paid tributes to SI Madhusudan and consoled his family members. Similarly , Bhongir MLA P Shekar Reddy took part in the last rites of the deceased police official. SI Madhusudan is survived by wife, a daughter and a son. He was a native of Tanedarpally of Tipparthi mandal in Nalgonda district.
