Aiming to continue its winning streak in the upcoming Lok Sabha LS elections, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi TRS is gearing up its cadre and the party Working President and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao took the responsibility of grabbing 16 out of the 17 LS seats in the State
Karimnagar: Aiming to continue its winning streak in the upcoming Lok Sabha (LS) elections, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is gearing up its cadre and the party Working President and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao took the responsibility of grabbing 16 out of the 17 LS seats in the State.
To prepare the cadre to face the elections, KTR is launching his political campaign from SRR Degree College grounds in Karimnagar on March 6, following the sentiment of his father and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
It should be reminded here that KTR had announced Boinapalli Vinod Kumar as the TRS candidate for Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency one month ago at a meeting in Sircilla. To make B Vinod Kumar emerge victorious with a bumper majority, KTR will held a meeting with the party cadre in Karimnagar.
Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency covers seven Assembly constituencies under its limit. The TRS is going to mobilise all the important leaders from village to mandal and constituency-level and is going to hand over the responsibility to them with perfect planning for registering a massive win in Lok Sabha elections.
Under the leadership of two district Ministers - Etala Rajendar and Koppula Eshwar, district in-charge and former Minister Baswaraju Saraiah, Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar in coordination with ZP Chairperson Tula Uma, city Mayor Ravinder Singh, Municipal Chairpersons, ZPTCs, MPTCs, corporators and councillors and party leaders are thriving to make the meeting a grand success.
Though, the party had won seven Assembly seats under Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency, some of the leaders, who won, are reportedly not happy. There are allegations within the party that a few senior leaders of the party indirectly helped the candidates of Opposition parties in back-stabbing their own party candidates in the recently held Assembly elections. The issue was taken to the notice of the party working president KTR also. They showed reasons for losing two sitting MLA seats in Peddpalli and winning of Koppula Eshwar with a very less margin.
However, it did not affect the party's winning streak. The charisma of party chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the welfare activities introduced by the State government gave the party a massive victory in the Assembly elections. Considering all these points, the TRS working president KTR is going to launch election campaign to rejuvenate the party cadre and to assure them that their political career depends on how they work hard in giving majority to the candidates contesting in the LS elections.
Meanwhile, arrangement for welcoming KTR, who is visiting the district first time after he became the party working president, are going on a massive scale here. Health Minister Eatala Rajender and Manakondur MLA Rasamayi Balakishan will welcome the party leader at Shanigaram at 10 am on Wednesday (March 6).
MLC Naradasu Lakshman Rao and ZP Chairperson Tula Uma will welcome KTR at Alugunur while Gangula Kamalakar will organise a bike rally with youth at Godavarikhani bypass road at Sircilla.
Upon his arrival at SRR Degree College, Mayor Ravinder Singh, SUDA Chairman GV Ramakrishna Rao and Rajender Rao will welcome the party working president with Bonalu and mangala harathi. The TRS general secretary K Kesahava Rao, Home Minister Mahmood Ali will accompany KTR.
The working president will address about 25,000 activists of seven Assembly segments within the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency at a sprawling across five acres. A dining area with a capacity to seat 10,000 people is arranged beside the meeting place.
