Hyderabad: Medak and Adilabad recorded the lowest night temperature of 15 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday, according to a bulletin issued by the Met department .

The bulletin said Medak and Hakimpet registered the day temperatures of 34 and 35 degrees Celsius respectively, while the highest of 38 degrees C was recorded in Mahbubnagar. The other maximum temperatures in the State were: Bhadrachalam and Khammam 37 deg C each, Nalgonda 36, Hyderabad & Ramagundam 35 each, Adilabad, Hanamkonda and Nizamabad 34 each.

According to the bulletin, dry weather prevailed across the Telangana State. The forecast said while dry weather was very likely on March 7 and 9, light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers are likely at isolated places on March 8 and 10. No major changes in the weather conditions during from March 11-13, says the bulletin.

The rainfall is attributed to a trough at 0.9 km above the mean sea level running from the north coastal Andhra Pradesh to the Comorin area across Rayalaseema and interior Tamil Nadu. The trough from West Assam to south Chhattisgarh across West Bengal and interior Odisha has become less marked.
