The Khammam police have started the preparations for the upcoming elections and taking all steps to see to it that the elections are held in a smooth and fair manner
Khammam: The Khammam police have started the preparations for the upcoming elections and taking all steps to see to it that the elections are held in a smooth and fair manner.
As the notification for MLC elections has already been announced and it is certain that the notifications for Parliamentary, local body and municipal elections would be out in the upcoming weeks, Khammam Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal has ordered the police officers in Khammam to make necessary arrangements for the elections.
Speaking at a meeting held with police officials on Thursday, the Police Commissioner ordered the district police personnel to be extra cautious in view of the upcoming Parliamentary elections and added there should be no scope for error. He added that the Election Commission was very determined to have a fair election and would not tolerate any mistakes.
The Commissioner informed that under the guidance of ACP, a training session for police personnel with regard to upcoming polls would be held at every police station. He advised police personnel to not to get involved in issues beyond their responsibilities and get punished by the Election Commission.
