Musheerabad: TSRTC Telangana Mazdoor union organised a program to celebrate the International Women’s Day at RTC Kalabhavan, Bagh Lingmapally, on Thursday. TSRTC MD Sunil Sharma, Executive Director Ravinder, Purushottam Naik, president of TMU Tirupathi Reddy, general secretary Ashwathama Reddy, Thomas Reddy and other leaders of TMU were present.
Speaking on the occasion, RTC MD Sunil Sharma said that women play an important role in the betterment of family, nation and the organisations in which they were employed. He urged women employees of RTC to strive for the growth and development of the organisation. He assured them that RTC would look into the issues faced by women and hold a review meeting shortly to address them. There is a need to provide job security to women employees working in RTC, he added. He advised the women employees to treat their children equally but provide better education to girls, more than their male children.
Sunil Sharma congratulated the women employees on the occasion and expressed his happiness over 100 per cent participation of women in the program. As many as 1,400 women employees attended the program.
General secretary of TMU Ashwathama Reddy said that women employees in TSRTC were facing many issues and requested the officials to address them at the earliest. Explaining the reasons behind losses, he said that the losses were not due to its employees or officials but due systemic issues facing the organisation. If the organisation is handed to over to them for one month, they would take steps and ensure that it makes profits, he added.
