Hyderabad: Discovery Channel has launched their new series Planet Healers by screening the segment on a city-based start-up Urban Kisaan at Indian School of Business.

The channel seeks to produce original document series, Planet Healers, featuring eight of India’s most promising environment-friendly start-ups. This series will be in four parts. The show is being hosted by Bollywood actor Jim Sarbh and the series will deep dive into the journey of how they are working out with the innovative solutions to environmental hazards faced by our country. These series premiered its first series on March 8 on Discovery Channel and Discovery HD World.

“Planet Healers is not just a TV show. It is an attempt to create mass awareness about environmental hazards faced by our country which will have a significant long-term impact,” said ZulfiaWaris, Vice-President, Premium & Digital networks, Discovery Communications India. He also said this series is focused on individuals who have dedicated themselves to create innovative technology and solutions for the conservation and preservation of the planet.

UrbanKisaan was founded by Vihari Kanukollu, Dr Sairam and Srinivas Chaganti in 2017. It empowers people to grow their own safe, fresh, and high-quality food with the help of hydroponic farming technique.
Vihari Kanukollu said they were happy to be a part of Discovery Channel’s document series. It will sensitise audiences on current food production, which sacrifices quality for quantity at the expense of our health and environment.

Planet Healers, a Discovery Channel Original, will premiere story of Urban Kisaan on March 29 at 7 pm only on Discovery Channel and Discovery HD World.
