Women are playing a key role in the city’s administration, he said. “More women are working among the thousands of GHMC staff and are ensuring in keeping Hyderabad clean,” he added. Speaking on the occasion, the deputy mayor said that the tradition of treating women equivalent to god prevails only in India. He said women are direct beneficiaries of all welfare schemes implemented in Telangana.

Additional Commissioner Shruthi Ojha observed that women would be respected only when their financial status is strong. She called upon GHMC women employees to give due respect to fellow employees.
