Hanamkonda: Stating that the ruling TRS did nothing for the people Warangal during its fiver year rule, DCC president Naini Rajender Reddy on Friday said that the ruling party has no right to seek mandate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing the media persons, he said that TRS MPs failed to raise the issues pertaining to the State in Parliament. Why people should vote for TRS which failed to fulfil the aspirations of the people, he questioned TRS working president KT Rama Rao.

KTR wants people including the opposition parties’ workers to vote for his party in the Lok Sabha elections, but he needs to explain what his party MPs had achieved for the State since they were elected to Parliament, he added.

“Due to TRS government’s failure, the proposed wagon factory couldn’t be established in Kazipet and now the fate of periodical over-hauling (PoH) unit is also hanging in the balance,” Reddy said. He demanded KTR to answer why the mega textile park, Bayyaram steel factory, the tribal university, smart city funds, road over bridge (RoB) at Fathima Nagar etc have been pending even after four years.

The TRS which splurged Rs 30 crore in each constituency, managed to win the recent Assembly elections. It’s a matter of time that all the misdeeds of TRS would come in public domain, he alleged.

Reddy also demanded to know why the TSRTC’s re-treading unit was shifted from Hunter Road. He alleged that leaders who eyed the prime land shifted the re-treading unit to some other place.

The DCC president appealed to people not fall prey to TRS leaders’ guiles. Adding further, he urged them to teach the TRS a fitting lesson in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Responding to question, Reddy said that as many as 34 hopefuls are seeking Congress party ticket from Warangal Lok Sabha and 43 for the Mahabubabad.

Greater Warangal president Katla Srinivas Rao, TPCC general secretary Namindla Srinivas, corporator T Raju, senior leaders M Sridhar Goud, T Venkanna, N Laxma Reddy, N Satyanarayana, A Surender, S Kumar Yadav, M Sukumar, M Sammaiah, L Charan Reddy, Azghar and Prdhvi were among others were present.
