It’s Puri for NTR

Hans Talkies has earlier reported that after rejecting Vakkantham Vamsi’s script, NTR was looking at directors like Puri Jagannadh and Anil Ravipudi for his next. Recently there were reports that Lingusamy too threw his hat in the ring. But the latest we hear is that the actor has made up his mind to join forces with Puri Jagannadh again. This would be the third time that the actor would be working with Puri. They’ve earlier teamed up for the damp squib ‘Andhrawala’ and the successful ‘Temper.’
A source says, “After weighing all options, NTR felt that Puri is the best bet especially after ‘Janatha Garage’s massive success. The talks are at an advanced stage and the director is currently giving the script final touches in Bangkok.”
The source adds, “NTR is likely to make the project official after Dasara. As to who will produce the film, it’s still a mystery, though chances of Kalyanram producing it under NTR Arts are very high.”
When asked what happened to Ravipudi’s script, the source replied, “The director did narrate it to NTR but it’s just that the actor felt Puri’s script had more venom.”
