Bellamkonda effect: Abhishek walks out

Had everything gone according to plan, noted distributor Abhishek Nama would have marked his production debut with Boyapati Sreenu’s next with Bellamkonda Sreenivas. But as it got delayed time and again, Abhishek’s other film ‘Kesava’ with Nikhil was the first one to roll.

However, in a sudden turn of events, it has now emerged that he is no longer producing Boyapati’s untitled film. Wonder why? A certain Bellamkonda Suresh, who is lying low of late, has something to do with it.

Confirms a source, “Although Abhishek didn’t mind Suresh interfering in the production process initially, it got to a point where he couldn’t take it. He was literally calling the shots even without taking the consent of Abhishek who has distributed some big-ticket flicks and is aware of what is best for the project. Abhishek didn’t like this since he believes filmmaking as a collaborative effort and though he was keen on working with Boyapati, he had no option but to dissociate himself.”

The source adds, “Suresh later rang ‘Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo’ producer Ravinder Reddy to associate with the project. The latter was more than happy to oblige since he has been waiting to do a big film. With Rakul Preet Singh as the heroine, it will go on floors from early November.”
