Anchor Pradeep who was caught in drink and drive case during the New Year’s eve is learned to have asked to attend a counseling session before Friday.

His Breathe analyzer tests recorded the blood alcohol content at 178 as against the permissible 35. The police immediately seized Pradeep’s car and booked a case against him.

However, with the anchor yet to attend the counseling session at the Traffic Training Institute in Begumpet, speculation rose behind his disappearance with many reports suggesting he is absconding.

Pradeep decided to set the record straight and has come out with an apology by posting a video on his official social media page.

Apologising for his conduct in the incident that took place on New Year day, the anchor said that due to his prior commitments of shoots, he missed important calls and also his counseling session.

Pradeep assured that he would continue to follow all the proceedings as ordered in the coming days and requested everyone not to do such mistakes.

Many vehicle owners, who were caught for drunk driving, attended counseling either at Traffic Training Institute in Begumpet or Goshamahal and appeared before the court.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic-III) B Koteswara Rao said that Pradeep has not yet attended his counseling session and added that if he fails to attend the session within a week, he might get the summons from the court to appear before the court personally.
