bot2Vizianagaram: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Botcha Satyanarayana inaugurated a revenue meeting at Mandiravalasa village of Garividi mandal on Tuesday. Stating that the main aim of revenue meetings was to solve the problems faced by the farmers, he called upon them to make good use of the opportunity. A team of officials will tour the allotted village at least once daily and will receive the petitions from the people, he said. Mainly it will be seen that the tenant farmers keep their land to themselves and enjoy the insurance over the land, he added.A On this occasion, District Collector Veerabrahmaiah said that revenue meetings will be held in 1,551 villages, till April 10. Officials of Revenue, Survey, Dwama, Forests, Indira Jala Prabha will form into groups and visit the villages. He urged the people and political leaders to cooperate in the process of streamlining the revenue affaiars.Meanwhile, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana announced that nine essential goods like rice, dal and oil will be supplied at only Rs 185, starting from this Ugadi. These items can be availed easily with two days of wages from NGRES works, he said.

Parvathipuram: One road for Gopalapuram BC colony in the mandal and two roads for SC colony have been sanctioned, said local MLA Savarapu Jayamani. She inaugurated the revenue sadassu at Gopalapuram on Tuesday. A Revenue Divisional Officer Jillepalli Venkatrao said that loan eligibility cards were given to 39 tenant farmers and urged them to renew it. He made it clear that tenant farmers will be provided loans only on the basis of the crop grown by them. It is illegal to occupy government lands, lakes, grave yards, gorges etc., and it will invite legal action, he warned. Tahsildar Srinivasrao urged the farmers to apply for pattadar passbooks.
